New Trends in the Practice of the Dutch Chinese Community Web Archive

Abstract: Since the beginning of 2007, KoninklijkeBibliotheek-National Library of the Netherlands has selectively collected Dutch websites for archiving. In 2018, the Dutch Chinese community webpage archiving project was promoted and a special feature network resource collection was established. This paper introduces the background, archive scope, project significance, legal and technical issues, and project prospects of this project in detail, and analyzes its characteristics of awakening ethnic identity, dissolving community barriersandenriching existing digital heritage. The future direction of development should be to strengthen policy guidance, expand the type of archiving, focus on community linkage and standardize archived content.
