Abstract: Mass remote sensing image data management is an important issue that needs to be seriously considered by the current surveying and mapping geographic information data archives department. This paper discusses the technical support for managing mass remote sensing image data, including meta-database, spatial database and image compression.And it also discusses the important factors of data security, including storage carrier, data backup and computer system.
